If you have an Event Type set to "has invoicing & is rentable" and if either a customer has not fully paid for their event or if a staff member forgot to attach an invoice, a "$" symbol will appear to alert everyone to be on the look out.

Also something to note that when you hover over the event, it will display that there is either an issue with not having an invoice assigned or the invoice has not been fully paid.
