With some products, you may want to offer a special discount on a given day or even a given time of day. For example a happy hour weekday discount or a special only for Mondays.

In the Global Search box type in "Discounts" to access the Discount Manager page. In order to create or edit Discounts, you must have a Role with the "Product Discount" Authorization included.

Dates

If you would like to have your discount valid only for a certain date range, you can enter one here (not required).

Time of Day

A discount could be set to only work during a specified time of day range (not required).

Day of the Week

Any, all, or none of the days of the week picker can be chosen to limit the discount (not required).

Depending on how your discount is setup, when the product is added to the shopping cart and if it matches the criteria (within the proper date, time, and day of the week), the discount will appear in your shopping cart.

For example, I have a weekday happy hour beer special so when I go to ring up a beer in my cart, it will automatically add my discount to the product.
