🚧 Beta Feature Alert
This feature is currently in beta testing and is not yet available to all Dash customers. Stay tuned for the full release!

πŸ“‹ Overview

Sticker shock is real β€” especially when customers land on a registration page and see the full season price upfront, even if what's due might be less. To ease this friction and boost registration conversions, we’ve introduced the Flexible Cost Display feature. This gives admins control over how pricing is shown to customers when registering for classes and camp/per-session seasons.

Now, admins can choose from two display options β€” Show Total Price (default) & Show Event Price and Total Price:

  • Show Total price – If prorating is enabled, the total price mid-season will show the prorated amount

  • Show Event Price and Total Price – Will show the cost for each camp or class event, as well as the total price

This helps ensure customers are shown a price that matches what they’ll actually pay at checkout β€” building trust, improving clarity, and reducing drop-offs from misaligned expectations.

πŸ”§ Admin Setup: Where to Configure Cost Display

βž• New Setting in Level Configuration

Admins can now configure the display of pricing at the seasons' level. This includes:

  • Class Seasons

  • Camp/Per-Session Seasons

πŸ“ Where the Change Is

Click the arrow to learn where to view these new settings

  1. To access a Level page, go to the Seasons page by using the global search for "Season" or select "Programs" > "Seasons" from the dropdown menu.

  2. From the Season listing page, select the season to add or view an existing Level.

  3. Once on the Level Settings page, click on the "Fees" section or scroll down.

Here is an example of the Fees section within a "Class" level:

  2. By selecting "Customer registers for" selected weeks, the following options will be shown:

    • Allow prorating: Check the box to charge the customer only for the number of remaining events at signup. In order for prorating to function, you must schedule the events.

  3. By selecting "Customer registers for" all events, the following options will be shown:

      • Per Event: Fee is multiplied by the number of events, with an option to prorate.

    • Allow prorating: Check the box to charge the customer only for the number of remaining events at signup. In order for prorating to function, you must schedule the events.

    • Online price display: When the customer can choose to register for "all events", the Online price display can be either "show total price" or "show event price and total price".
