πŸ“ Overview

The global search bar allows you to quickly locate pages, reports, customers, and records without browsing through multiple menus.

It helps staff and admins move efficiently through Dash by typing keywords or special shortcut commands.

Along with standard searches, global search includes built-in shortcuts (also known as cheat codes) that take you directly to specific records or areas to save time and clicks.

πŸ”Ž Searching for Pages, Reports, or Tools

Click the arrow to learn how to use the global search to find pages or reports

If you already know the name of the page you want to open, start typing it directly in the global search box.

You’ll see matching results appear below, allowing you to click and go straight to that page.

πŸ“£ Examples:

Typing Seasons, Booking Options, Products, Company Settings, or any report name takes you directly to that page.

🧾 Invoice Search

Click the arrow to learn how to search by invoice

  1. Type invoice:[invoice number]

  2. Opens the matching invoice instantly.

πŸ“£ Example:

"invoice: 1234"

πŸ—“οΈ Booking Search

Click the arrow to learn how to search by booking ID

  1. Type booking:[booking ID] or b:[booking ID]

  2. Opens the corresponding booking record.

πŸ“£ Example:

"booking: 4567"

πŸ‘€ Customer Search

Click the arrow to learn how to search for a customer profile

You can search by:

  • CID number – entering only the number opens the customer profile.

  • Email address – typing a full email searches for that customer.

  • Customer name – typing part of a first and last name will show all matching customers.

πŸ“£ Examples:

"25742" β†’ opens CID 25742
"[email protected]" β†’ searches for customers with that email

"kris carl" or "k carl" β†’ shows all matching customers

πŸ’³ Gift Card Search

Click the arrow to learn how to search for gift cards

  1. Type giftcard:[giftcard number]

  2. Opens the matching gift card details.

πŸ’‘ Note: The gift card number is the same as the redemption code used by customers.

πŸ“£ Example:

giftcard: 10245

πŸ’° Transaction Search

Click the arrow to learn how to search for a specific transaction

Use any of these formats:

  • trans:[transaction ID]

  • transactions:[transaction ID]

  • trans_id:[transaction ID]

The transaction ID can be found within a customer’s invoice. When you use one of the formats above, Dash opens the Transaction Search page, which will already be prefilled with the transaction ID.

Once loaded, the results show key details about the transaction including:

  • Invoice ID (linked to the related invoice)

  • Transaction ID

  • Date and time of the transaction

  • Type (for example, Credit or Refund)

  • Credit Card (last four digits only)

  • Amount processed

  • Employee who completed the transaction

πŸ“£ Example:

trans: 309812

🏫 Program Search

Click the arrow to learn how to search for a program

If you have a program name made up of two words, add a % sign between the words when searching.

This takes you to the Program Search page and automatically filters results to show only rosters with that specific name.

πŸ“£ Example:

"Big%Feet" β†’ opens the Program Search page filtered to β€œBig Feet” rosters

✍️ Note:

If you search with a space instead of a %, Dash assumes you are searching for a customer name instead of a program.

⚽ Group Search (Teams, Classes, Camps)

Click the arrow to learn how to search for a group/roster

Use:

  • team:[ID]

  • class:[ID]

  • camp:[ID]

If a valid ID is provided, the page opens automatically.

πŸ“£ Example:

"team: 1123" β†’ opens Team 1123 page

πŸ“ Where to Find the Roster ID

You can locate the roster ID in several places:

  • In the URL, at the end of the link when viewing the roster page.

  • In the breadcrumb navigation (the line showing Season, Level, and Roster names), where the ID appears in parentheses before the roster name.

  • On the Program Search page, where each roster ID is displayed in the leftmost column of the results.

πŸ“… Date Search

Click the arrow to learn how to jump to a specific date on the calendar

  1. Type a date in this format: mm/dd/yyyy

  2. Page will open the calendar for that date.

πŸ“£ Example:

"12/19/2025" β†’ brings up December 19, 2025 in the calendar view.
