Before you begin, ensure that you have the following information available:
The New Legal Name
The New Tax ID
One of the following, to verify your new information:
W9 form
SS-4 IRS issuance letter
147C EIN Verification Letter
Most recent tax return
Current Tax ID associated with the merchant account
The last 4 digits of the account owner’s Social Security Number
The Merchant Account Owner's Legal Name
The Legal/Tax ID ticket
Login to your Merchant Portal, then navigate to the "Support" tab and click Create Ticket.
If you have multiple merchant locations, you can open a ticket for a specific location by choosing the site from the Location dropdown
Select the purpose of the ticket from the Reason dropdown. To request a legal business name or tax ID change, select the Legal/Tax ID ticket reason.
Enter the required information in the requested fields. Please be sure to attach one of the following, to verify your new information:
W9 form
SS-4 IRS issuance letter
147C EIN Verification Letter
Most recent tax return
When finished, click Save to submit the ticket.
