๐Ÿ“ Overview

League Standings track team performance throughout a season based on game results. Standings automatically update as scores are entered and reflect ranking rules configured for the league.

Standings allow staff and participants to:

  • View team rankings

  • Compare win and loss records

  • Track points or scoring differentials

  • Determine playoff qualification or final placement

Standings measure team performance, while Player Stats track individual performance.

๐Ÿงฎ How Standings Are Calculated

Standings are determined using the scoring structure configured for the league.

The available standings and statistical fields are first defined by the Sport assigned to the Season.

๐ŸŸ๏ธ Sport-Based Stat and Standings Types

Click the arrow to learn how Sport settings affect standings

Stat and Standings structures are defined at the Sport level and selected within the Level settings.

On the Sports page, you can define:

  • What statistical categories are tracked

  • What standings format is available

  • What scoring logic applies

When setting up a Level, you:

  • Choose the appropriate Standings Type under Details

  • Select the Sport under Classification

The league then inherits those configurations automatically.

Different sports may display different standings columns, and custom sports can use unique standings logic.

  • Ties (T)

  • Points (PTS)

  • Goals For (GF)

  • Goals Against (GA)

  • Goal Differential (GD)

๐Ÿชœ Ranking Order Logic

Click the arrow to learn how teams are ranked

Teams are ranked according to the priority rules defined in league settings.

Example ranking order:

  1. Total Points

  2. Goal Differential

  3. Wins

  4. Goals For

Each rule is evaluated in sequence until a ranking difference is identified. If teams remain tied after all configured rules are applied, they will display as tied.

๐Ÿ” Score Update Behavior

Click the arrow to learn how score updates impact standings

Standings automatically recalculate when:

  1. A game score is entered and saved.

  2. A score is edited.

  3. An incomplete game is finalized.

If a score is corrected or removed, standings refresh immediately.

For accuracy:

  • Enter scores promptly

  • Avoid duplicate game records

  • Ensure the schedule is active
