3rd Party Program Registration Link

Learn how to set up a program in Dash that redirects customers to a third-party registration site.

📝 Overview

This feature allows you to display a program in the Customer Portal that links out to a third-party registration system. While the program tile is visible in the portal, the actual registration process takes place externally.


🛠️ Setup

💡 Note: You must still create a season, level, and roster for the program tile to display in the Customer Portal.

The setup details don’t affect registration, but the same program type with the external link must be assigned throughout.

  1. Navigate to Programs and create a new program.

    • ⚠️ This must be a brand-new program that is not already in use.

    • In the program editor, enter the External Registration URL — this is the link that will redirect customers to your third-party registration site.

    • Without this link saved at the program level, the tile in the Customer Portal cannot redirect correctly.

  2. Go to Seasons and either create a new season or edit an existing one.

    • Assign the program you created to this season.

    • Set Online Registration Dates — the tile only displays in the Customer Portal during this range.

    • If this is a league season, you can ignore settings for new team registration.

  3. Add a Level under the season.

    • You’ll still need to create a level, but the settings here don’t affect registration since customers won’t actually register in Dash for this program.

    • Fill in the required fields so the level can be saved.

  4. Create at least one roster under the level.

    • The roster must be active and set to allow online registration.

    • Without a roster, the tile will not display in the Customer Portal.

    • Roster can be set to "private".

  • The program tile appears in the Register section of the Customer Portal.

  • When customers click the tile, they are redirected to the external registration link you’ve configured.

  • Registration is fully completed in the third-party system, not in Dash.

💡 Tip: The Name, Description, and Image you add when creating the program will display to customers in the Customer Portal.


📊 Troubleshooting

  • Tile does not appear

    • Check that the season’s online registration dates include the current date.

    • Confirm at least one roster is active and open for online registration.

    • Verify the program is properly attached to the season.

  • Tile appears but does not redirect correctly

    • Ensure the third-party registration URL is set correctly in the external system.

    • Confirm there are no conflicting Dash registration settings enabled.
