📝 Overview
When your EMV terminal displays a "Bolted" status, it is connected to the payment processor and ready to accept transactions. Once your terminal is bolted, you can begin processing payments at checkout. The first time you use the terminal, you will need to select the serial number of the device you want to use.
✍️ Note: Dash will remember this selection for that computer after the first time.
🛠️ Setup
Follow the steps below to run your first transaction.
Add a product to the cart and proceed to the checkout page.
Select your terminal from the dropdown menu. Make sure the serial number matches the device you want to use.
✍️ Note: To find the serial number on a Clover device, touch all four corners of the display to access the admin console, then select Admin Panel to locate the serial number.
Click Process Checkout. The EMV terminal will prompt the customer to insert, swipe, or tap their card.
Once the terminal processes the payment, the card can be removed. Dash will display a successful transaction confirmation, or an error message if the payment is declined.
