π Overview
The USA Hockey Membership Add-On allows you to require a valid USA Hockey Membership as part of the registration process for eligible programs such as classes, teams, and camps. This guide walks you through how to enable the feature, create the necessary membership product, and manage membership verification and reporting.

This feature can be turned on through our Integrations & Add-ons page which can be found by clicking on the drop down menu under Admin.
From the Integrations tab, click the button to Turn On the feature.
Once the feature has been turned on, you will need to create a new membership product.
Within the membership product settings, scroll down to Membership Settings and toggle on Requires USA Hockey Membership.
Once this toggle has been turned on, you can add this membership to any Program product such as a class, team, or camp as a required purchase. For example, below, the USA Hockey Verification product can been added to the Adult Hockey Team Fee.
βοΈ How It Works
The USA Hockey membership verification process applies to both staff registering customers on the Admin side and customers self-registering through the Customer Portal.

When adding a customer to a program that requires a USA Hockey Membership from the Admin side, a prompt will appear once the USA Hockey membership is added to the cart.
The next screen will ask you to enter the Hockey Membership ID to proceed. If needed, you can also be directed to the USA Hockey website from this screen to look up or obtain a membership ID.
If a valid membership ID is entered, a green check mark will appear along with the expiration date. Once you click Continue, the shopping cart will appear and the customer can proceed to checkout.
Once the membership has been purchased, it will appear on the customer's profile under Memberships. You will be able to see the USA Hockey Verification membership with the expiration date, the customer's USA Hockey ID (labeled USAH#), and the member it is billed to.
βοΈ Note: The expiration date shown on the customer's facility membership will always match their USA Hockey membership expiration date, regardless of when the transaction was processed in Dash.

A pop-up will appear asking the customer to enter their USA Hockey Membership ID and click Verify. If they don't have a membership or can't remember their ID, they can click Visit USA Hockey to be directed to the USA Hockey website.
Once a valid ID is entered, a green confirmation banner will display the Membership ID and expiration date. The customer can then click Continue to complete checkout. If needed, they can also click Verify membership again? to re-enter a different ID.

β³ New memberships can take up to 30 minutes to validate - If a customer gets an error after entering a new membership ID, ask them to wait up to 30 minutes before trying again.
π¬ Two reports support USA Hockey ID exports - Both the Customer Search and Email page and the Membership Report allow you to export customer USA Hockey IDs to CSV.
