📝 Overview
Payment providers, such as Stripe and CardConnect, enable businesses to securely accept and process electronic payments. In Dash, authorized admins can now manage provider settings directly through Company Settings. This is no longer a support-only task. Management includes enabling payment methods, setting minimum transaction amounts, and registering card terminals.
🔑 Authorizations
Admins with the "Payment Provider Management authorization" (which can be found under the 'Administrative' section) can access and modify payment provider settings in Company Settings. This authorization is automatically enabled for the System Admin role by default.
You have flexibility in managing this authorization:
Remove it from System Admin: If you don't want all System Admins to have Payment Provider Management access, toggle off this authorization for the System Admin role in your authorization settings.
Create a custom role: If you want specific users (not all System Admins) to manage payment providers, create a new custom role with only the Payment Provider Management authorization enabled. See Employee Setup: Roles & Authorizations for detailed steps.
If you're unsure whether you have permission, contact your account administrator or email [email protected] for assistance.
⚠️ Important Note: The settings in this article are the ones you can manage directly within the Company Settings page. Examples of settings handled by Dash support include switching payment providers, payment provider details, and assigning locations to each payment provider. For any payment configuration needs beyond these options, email [email protected].

Some fields are editable (like Provider Name, Bank Debit, and Surcharging settings), while others are view-only informational displays (like Account ID and Locations this provider applies to).
The sections below explain each editable field and what you can configure.
⚙️ Provider Settings
The Provider Settings section contains the main payment configuration options for your Stripe provider, including your provider name, the locations this provider is assigned to, payment methods, and minimum transaction amounts.

Your provider name appears in Dash to help you identify which Stripe account is active. You can edit this name at any time without affecting payment processing.
Under Provider Settings, click the pencil icon next to Provider Name

Bank Debit (also called ACH) allows your customers to pay directly from their bank account. When Bank Debit is enabled, transactions below your minimum amount threshold offer bank debit as a payment option. Transactions at or above the minimum only accept credit cards, debit cards, and cash.
✍️ Note: Surcharging does not apply to ACH transactions.
Enable Bank Debit:
Toggle the Enable Bank Debit switch on or off
If enabled, optionally enter the dollar amount threshold in the Bank Debit Minimum Amount field (example: 100 = $100 minimum). This field is not required; if left empty, it defaults to zero.
Click outside the field to auto-save your changes
Toggling Bank Debit on or off does not affect transactions already processed. This setting only applies to new transactions going forward.
Surcharging

Surcharging allows you to add a percentage-based fee to credit card transactions at the point of sale. The availability of surcharging and the amounts you can charge vary depending on the region of your location. This setting must be toggled on to enable surcharging for your facility.
Enable Surcharging:

No, your Account ID is view-only and was set during your initial Dash setup. If you need to change your payment processor account or update your Account ID for other reasons, contact [email protected].
What happens if I toggle Bank Debit off?
Click the arrow to see the answer
Click the arrow to see the answer
Toggling Bank Debit off affects customer payments going forward:
New transactions: Bank debit will no longer appear as a payment option in the payment element or Member/Admin App
Payment plans: Existing payment plans will no longer use bank debit. If a customer has a default card on file, payment will attempt to use that instead. If no default card exists, the payment will be logged as failed.
Membership auto-renew: Memberships continue to auto-renew even if bank debit is disabled. If no default card is on file, the system will log this as a failed schedule.
Re-enabling: If you re-enable Bank Debit later, bank tokens will display again for customers (if the tokens are still valid within 12 months of disabling). Toggling back on restores the previous state.
Transactions already processed before the toggle remain unaffected.
Do I need to register a terminal to accept card payments?
