📝 Overview

The Audit Report provides a comprehensive log of all data changes across Dash. Whether changes are made manually by staff or automatically by background processes, this report ensures more transparency. Each entry includes detailed information such as the action taken, what was changed, who made the change, and when it occurred.

This visibility makes the audit report invaluable for administrators, support staff, and anyone investigating data discrepancies or ensuring compliance.


📂 How to Access the Audit Report

  1. Go to Reports > All Reports > Audit Log in your system navigation.

  2. You can also use the "Global Search" box and type in "Audit Log".

  3. Once opened, you’ll land on a dynamic interface with customizable filters to help you pinpoint the data you need.


⚙️ How to Run the Report

You can tailor the Audit Report to find exactly what you're looking for using several filter options:

🔍 Filter Options

Click the arrow to learn more about the filtering options

  • View Changes To
    Filter by system area: Everything, Customers, Rosters, Programs, Memberships, Events, and more.

  • Customer ID / Roster ID / User ID
    Focus on one specific customer, registration, or employee.

  • Edited By User
    View changes made by a specific employee or user account.

  • Start & End Date and Time
    Set a time window to view changes within a particular date range (you can leave these blank to view all records).

  • Limit
    Choose how many entries appear per page (up to 500).

After applying your desired filters, click Search to generate the results.

🧾 Audit Report Results

Once you have run the Audit Report, the results table will display detailed records of each logged change. You can click the arrow in any column header to sort the data or adjust the visible columns using the display settings.

  • Action
    The type of change performed (e.g., ROSTER_ADD, UPDATE, DELETE).

  • ID and Name
    The unique identifier and name of the customer, roster, or item affected.

  • Type and Field
    The category (e.g., Customer, Roster, Program) and specific field that was changed.

  • Old Value / New Value
    Displays what the value was before the change and what it was updated to.

  • Modified By
    Indicates the user or system process that made the change.

  • Timestamp
    The exact date and time the change occurred.

  • Notes
    Additional metadata such as IP address, API request details, and request source (e.g., dashboard, kiosk, or API).

📄 Export Options

Click the arrow to view the export options

  • CSV – Best for spreadsheets and sorting/filtering data further.

  • PDF – Ideal for a printable or shareable version with formatting intact.

The audit report captures all key changes related to scheduled events, offering a detailed timeline of edits and actions taken by staff or the system.

  • From a calendar event page, there is an option to view the event's audit log

  • An event was mistakenly deleted or edited.

  • Capacity changes impacted registration.

  • A staff member altered the event schedule unexpectedly.


🧾 Membership Auditing

All actions affecting memberships—including plan changes, sign-ups, cancellations, and billing—are logged and searchable.

  • From the customer profile page, there is an option to view the customer's membership audit log

  • View Changes ToCustomers or Memberships

  • Specific Customer ID

  • Staff User who made the change

  • Relevant Date Range
