Demo Database

The demo database is a sandboxed copy of your live site, giving your team a safe space to practice workflows, train new staff, and explore features without affecting real customer data, reservations, or transactions.

πŸ“ Overview

The demo database is a replica of your live site that your team can use for training and testing purposes. It mirrors your real data so staff can practice day-to-day workflows in a realistic environment without the risk of impacting live customer accounts, reservations, or financials.

Common uses include onboarding new employees, testing new configurations before rolling them out, and running through transaction workflows without touching real data.

⚠️ Important Note: Information created or modified in the demo database cannot be transferred to your live site. For example, a season built in the demo cannot be pushed to your live database. Always make sure you know which database you are working in before making changes.

πŸ”‘ Accessing Your Demo Database

To log in to your demo database, use your standard login credentials. The only difference is the company code. Append _demo to the end of your existing company code.

🧠 Example: If your company code is springfieldparks, your demo company code would be springfieldparks_demo

✍️ Note: If staff members are having trouble logging in to the demo database, their password may need to be reset. A System Administrator or any user with the Employee Management authorization can reset passwords on their behalf.

πŸ“¬ Requesting or Refreshing Your Demo Database

Your demo database can be requested or refreshed at any time to sync it with your current live data. To submit a request, email our support team.

πŸ“§ Contact Support: [email protected]

✍️ Note: Database refresh requests require developer time. Before submitting, make sure all staff user accounts have been created in your live site to avoid the need for multiple refresh requests.

πŸ’‘ Additional Info: When a refresh is completed, any user accounts or changes made directly in the demo database will be overwritten by your live site data.

πŸ’‘ Tips for Using the Demo Database

  • ⚠️ Credit card transactions are live in the demo database. Avoid having staff practice with real credit cards. Instead, use cash transactions for training or use the following test credit card credentials: 4111 1111 1111 1111 | Expiration: any future date (MM/YY format).

  • πŸ“§ Emails send from the demo database. Avoid using real customer accounts when practicing transactions. Have employees use their own staff account or a test account instead.

  • πŸ‘€ New user accounts created in the live site do not automatically appear in the demo database. To give a new employee demo access, either create their account directly in the demo or request a database refresh.
