π Overview
Google Ads (formerly known as AdWords) is Google's online advertising platform that allows you to run paid campaigns to drive traffic to your website. By connecting Google Ads to your Google Analytics property, you can track how those campaigns perform alongside your website and Dash activity, all within the same reporting view.
This connection gives you a clearer picture of your customer journey: from the moment someone clicks an ad, to how they interact with your website, to what they ultimately purchase through Dash. Setting up this integration involves three key steps: configuring cross-domain tracking, linking your Google Ads account to Google Analytics, and enabling eCommerce tracking. Each of these is covered in the Setup section below.
π‘ Additional Info: For more information on how Google Ads connects to Google Analytics, visit Google's documentation below.
βοΈ Note: The steps in this article are completed within Google Analytics and Google Ads, not within Dash directly. If this feature is available to you, no changes are needed on the Dash side beyond one email to our support team.
