πŸ“ Overview

Tax rates allow you to control which products are taxed and how much tax is charged at checkout. Instead of applying tax globally, the software lets you pick and choose exactly which products should collect tax, giving you flexibility across different programs, activities, or merchandise.

You can also create multiple tax rates and apply them as needed. This is especially helpful for organizations that need to charge different types of tax, such as city tax vs. league tax, or when tax rules vary by location or product type.

Once tax rates are set up, they can be assigned at the product level so tax is calculated automatically during purchases in person or through the Customer Portal.

  • 🧾 Audit new products – When adding new programs or merchandise, confirm tax settings before opening registration.

  • 🏷️ Use clear tax names – Descriptive names make invoices, reports, and customer questions easier to manage.
