π Overview
Residency Pricing allows your organization to offer different price points to customers based on whether they live within a defined geographic zone. When a customer registers, the system checks their residency status and automatically applies the appropriate rate with no manual price selection required.
π GIS Mapping must be configured before using this feature. Residency zones must be drawn and enabled in GIS Mapping before residency pricing can function. If you haven't set up your zones yet, start there first.
π Prefer to import boundary files rather than drawing zones manually? If your organization has boundary files in KML or KMZ format, they can be imported directly.
π€ Customer Residency Status
Once GIS zones are active, the system evaluates each customer's address and assigns a residency status to their profile.

When a customer profile is created or edited, the system checks the customer's address against the configured GIS zones. If the address falls within a resident zone, the customer is tagged as a resident on their profile.
βοΈ Note: Residency status is only determined when a customer profile is created or edited. Customers whose profiles existed before GIS zones were configured will not be automatically tagged.
β οΈ Important Note: If you need all existing customer accounts updated to reflect your GIS zone boundaries, contact our support team to request a residency status refresh.

In some cases, the system may not recognize a customer's address even if it falls within a resident zone. When this happens, residency status can be manually overridden directly on the customer's profile.
Navigate to the customer's profile.
Click the three-dot menu button near the top of the profile.
Select Override Residency Zone from the menu.
On the page that appears, select the appropriate zone from the Residency Status dropdown.
If the change should apply to all family members sharing the same contact info, check the Update all family members sharing this contact info checkbox.
Click Submit.
βοΈ Note: This manual override will be replaced if the customer's profile is saved with a new address that the system is able to locate.
